We are thrilled to announce that the second annual Melbourne Brainwave Luncheon raised a net total of $72,700.
Your generosity and support will help fund the continuing delivery of much needed emotional and peer support programs, provision of Bear Essential Packs and funding for needed equipment and therapies. Making a real difference to the lives of our many families like Christine and Samantha’s who shared their stories on the day.
Our thanks and congratulations to everyone who made this possible, including our major sponsors Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific, our volunteers who supported us throughout the day, Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club (what a wonderful venue!), our MC Livinia Nixon, auctioneer James Hatzolos, QBE and Fererro, our photographer, florists, candy bar, gift giving and of course all of you who came along and supported us with amazing generosity, making it truly a day to remember.
While this was a great team effort, Alex Lane did an outstanding job in her lead role, whereas our organising Committee of Patricia Collett, Sandy Brooks and Claire Whitbread worked tirelessly in the weeks leading up to the day to deliver a memorable 2019 Melbourne Luncheon. On behalf of the Brainwave family, well done Alex, Patricia, Sandy and Claire!
As always, our focus now turns to the next series of events. In June, our first Brainwave camp of the year will deliver inclusion, fun and connection for our NSW families. Whereas, our annual Melbourne gala will be held on Friday 2 August, 2019. The theme is one of celebration to mark our 25th year. Following this are more family days and events that will culminate in our end of year celebrations.
