On Wednesday the 18th of November, Brainwave Australia launched Brainspace at The State Library of Victoria. Brainspace is an online web forum which allows families to share their knowledge and experiences and most importantly, provide vital emotional support to families in need. Guests included former patients, staff from the Neuroscience Ward at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Brainwave friends and family.
Guest speaker was Mr Geoffrey Klug OAM, former director of Neurosurgery at RCH (Melbourne). Other speakers included Brainwave Australia’s Chairman Alex Lopez, founder Josephine Nicholls, Jo’s son Nicholas and MC and media personality Shawn Cosgrove. Brainwave Patron Michael Klim and Ambassador Lindy Klim cut a celebratory cake to celebrate with Brainwave families and supporters at the State Library of Victoria.
