Clemenger Group Staff Fund choose Brainwave

The Clemenger Group recently named Brainwave as their charity for The Clemenger Group Staff Fund. For each dollar employees contributed pre-tax, the company matched it. The committee raised $10,000 which is a fantastic effort. The company believes in empowering staff to not only financially donate to worthy not-for-profits, but also donate time, and some of the Clemenger staff will be joining upcoming Brainwave camps to do so.

Thanks to everyone at the Clemenger Group for supporting Brainwave and we look forward to having staff involved in the future.

Parent’s Support Dinner Melbourne

Some of the parents who enjoyed the night

Some of the parents who enjoyed the night

Many parents joined Brainwave in a fun night of singing, eating, riding and relaxing at Luna Park in Melbourne on the 12th March. Designed to give parents a break and allow them to network with other parents in a similar situation, many phone numbers and emails were swapped and everyone had a fantastic time! Some of us even braved the Scenic Railway and had a great view of Melbourne by night!!!

Congratulations to those parents who took up the challenge on the singing bee and did a fabulous job, entertaining us all. Thanks goes to Peter Sullivan, Andrea Lees and Ben Sullivan for providing the music and fun throughout the night and a big thankyou to Luna Park for their continued support.

Following their successful weekend away in November Grove Roaders presented Executive Director of Brainwave Josephine Nicholls with a huge cheque for $22,297.00. The Grove Roaders is a grass roots community group from Hawthorn who raised money for Brainwave by cycling and trekking over the Melbourne Cup weekend.

“The parents and kids of The Grove Roaders cycled more than 35 kilometres as well as participating in other challenges to achieve this fantastic donation for Brainwave. We really pushed ourselves this year and we are so proud to be supporting such a wonderful organisation,” Rob Davies from The Grove Roaders said of the achievement whilst presenting the cheque. Brainwave thanks everyone connected with Grove Roaders and the families and friends who sponsored their wonderful effort.

Tiff told Brainwave, “I think that my new role at Brainwave will help me in the future with my leadership skills, organisation, public speaking and getting to know others involved in Brainwave. I am very proud you have chosen me for this role and hope I can help others and make a difference.”

We are sure you will look forward to meeting Tiffany and find her as inspiring as we do. Congratulations Tiff!
